Saw these at a friend’s birthday party last weekend. Fanciful geographies from a collage of old school print maps form the covers of the 4 CDs in the Left of the Dial box set. The first shows San Francisco, California, on the left and Boston, Mass., on the right with Manchester, UK, at top with a London inset.

Wednesday, May 27th, 2009[Editor’s note: I saw this album art CD cover at Starbucks last week. KCRW, the streaming public radio station out of California, puts out yearly live studio performance albums. This one features the likes of Dido, Rufus Wainwright, and Girls in Hawaii. The artists are arranged along subway lines with stations labeled with artist names. Not sure if there’s a rhyme or reason to the layout, but the result is cool. ]
