“Flight thru Instruments” and the Fine Art of Instructional Illustration

Telstar Logistics has a fantastic post about “Flight thru Instruments”, a pilot training manual published by the US Navy in 1945 that teaches proper aeronautical navigation techniques through the use of elaborate illustrations – the kind of stuff that today might be called “info-graphics.” Perhaps these will inspire my father to finish his kit plane and fly cross country to visit me in DC?
